If you're right on the boundary, size up. There should be a little slack over the toes.

How to use them

1. Charge both batteries fully before the first wear.
2. Clip a battery into the pocket at the top of each sock and zip it shut.
3. Press and hold the button to switch on, then press again to cycle through the heat settings.
4. Start on the highest setting to warm up, then drop to low to make the charge last.

How long until I feel the heat?
Under a minute on the highest setting. It builds rather than switching on hot, which is what you want against skin.

Can I really put them in the washing machine?
Yes — once the batteries are out and the pockets are zipped shut. Cool wash, and let them dry naturally rather than on a radiator or in a tumble dryer.

Are they bulky in shoes or boots?
The sock itself is a normal thickness. The battery sits high on the calf, well above the boot line, so nothing presses into your leg.

Will they fit inside ski boots?
Yes, though take them with you when you get boots fitted if you're buying new ones.

Do I have to keep the heat on the whole time?
No, and most people don't. Warm your feet on the way out, switch off once you're moving, switch back on when you stop.

Are they safe to sleep in?
We'd say no. Switch the heat off before you sleep — the socks are fine to keep wearing, just not heated and unsupervised.
